Annapurna Base Camp trek is another classic trek in the Annapurna Region. It is short, beautiful, intense and takes you straight into the heart of the Himalayas with astounding mountain views. This is the sacred land of the native Gurung people, the abode of their gods. The trek to Annapurna Base Camp passes through variety of terrain from lowland villages, rice terraces to glacial moraine and provides a spectacular high mountain views. The trek offers a fine opportunity to surround yourself with the Himalayan peaks in a short time, without having to contend with altitude and flight problems of the Everest Region. Annapurna Base Camp is surrounded by peaks like Annapurna, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli.
